Topic: Turning Board Members Into Fundraising Partners

Focusing mental energy; how to recognize trigger points and avoid distractions; practicing "focused procrastination"; using the 80/20 rule and keeping the focus on those who will make the most difference; learning how to build on the efforts of others to help you reach your goals.  
  
Mary Ellen Boelhower is director of development for UNCG's Bryan School of Business and Economics, a position she has held for seven years.  She led the Bryan School's efforts in UNCG's Students First Campaign, surpassing the school's $10M campaign goal by over $3M.  Prior to joining UNCG, she was director of stewardship at the University of New Hampshire Foundation and director of research and education for the Society for New Hampshire Forests.   She keeps her focus by getting outside with her dog and making regular trips to hike in the North Carolina mountains.
