Benefits of Membership
  • Networking - Monthly meetings are held the last Tuesday of each month and offer members an excellent opportunity to meet other development professionals  representing the diverse fund raising community within the North Carolina Triad area. The meetings are normally held at Magnolia Manor and non-members are welcome to attend. At each monthly meeting we present a Professional Development Seminar, featuring speakers who cover a variety of topics of interest.  Please check our calendar for this year's featured speakers and topics.
  • Discounts - Membership entitles you to discounted registration fees to all of the educational opportunities that AFP sponsors.  From the monthly Chapter meetings to Fundraising Day in the Triad to the International Conference on Fundraising.
  • Mentoring Program - Members are entitled to request a mentor.  This service pairs experienced fundraisers with novice fundraisers to encourage their professional development.
  • Resources - In addition to the Fundraising Resource Center, the Glenwood Branch of the Greensboro Public Library hosts an excellent non-profit resource library where many of the AFP books are housed.
  • Audio Conferences - Periodically, the Chapter will purchase admission to audio conferences provided by the AFP.  These learning opportunities are open to members free of charge.
  • Volunteering - The NC Triad Chapter and has a wonderful core of volunteers. We invite you to become an active participant in the chapter as a volunteer. Events such as Fund Raising Day and National Philanthropy Day are huge undertakings and are dependent upon a solid volunteer corp. If you are interested in learning more about the volunteer opportunities, please call the Chapter Office.
